The Federal Financial Institutions Examinations Council (FFIEC), a federal interagency regulatory organization that creates and enforces principles and standards for the federal examination of financial institutions, recently made revisions to its business continuity planning criteria in hopes to reduce negative effects on financial institutions’ business operations, reduce financial institutions’ monetary loss and enable customers and financial markets to be serviced with minimal disruptions.
