Bank stays on forefront with software and support services from technology vendor
CHICAGO, June 10, 2009 – Integrated Bank Technology (IBT), a company that specializes in providing core processing and imaging software applications for in-house and ASP environments for financial institutions across the country and provides 24/7 support services, announced that it recently celebrated 29 years of successful partnership with Chicago area-based Devon Bank. Devon Bank is an original customer of MICR Resource Management (MRM), which was acquired by IBT in 2008. The bank remained with the company and expanded the relationship with a successful technology implementation in 2008.
“We had a long history with MRM, so when the company was acquired by IBT we saw it as an opportunity to expand our relationship and take advantage of the innovative technology,” Dan Loundy, vice president at Devon Bank, explained. “The size of the company works well for us because the management team is very responsive and we have been able to develop a close partnership over the years.”
In 2008 the bank opened a green branch that features six wind turbines and 53 solar panels. Devon Bank is currently producing 40 percent of its own energy at the branch and plans to apply for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification soon. IBT helped the bank reduce paper in the branch with the installation of Integrated Image Teller, a solution that replaces internal paperwork with “virtual tickets” and electronic archiving.
“IBT has been on the leading edge of technology because it has the flexibility to recognize where the industry is going and can quickly adjust to meet those needs,” Loundy added. “Whether we identify a technology that will benefit the bank or IBT provides the recommendation, the company always gets us to the forefront of community banking technology.”
“I have worked with Devon Bank since my former position at MRM and we truly value the trust that the bank has placed in us over the years to help it continuously increase efficiency and improve customer service,” Mike Golebiowski, president of IBT, added. “Devon Bank and IBT both have a commitment to technology innovation and we have built a successful partnership on bringing new ideas to the banks’ customer.”
